Departure Day

By now, most (if not all) of Jamesie's Hiking Chums are either at or on their way to Newark.  Me?  I'm on an Amtrak train from Virginia.  Others are coming in from Florida, Tennessee, Colorado, Vermont, and Pennsylvania.  Yesterday afternoon was spent in a flurry of re-packing, making absolutely certain that I had everything I needed and nothing I really didn't.  My train was about 30 minutes late this morning, but I have plenty of time built into the day's schedule.  In a few hours, I'll be meeting up with the rest of the crew, and the adventure will begin!
